Pigments of the Mara

Our artisan partners from Sanaa Weavers taught us how to respect every grain of soil collected. We mixed sienna with aloe sap to create velvety glazes and experimented with charcoal-infused gesso for bold gestures.

The landscape gifted us colors that no tube could replicate.

By sunset, we had bottled five new hues—each named after the elders who guided us. Sales from these palettes now help fund creative scholarships for local teens.
